Bought this on steam and absolutely love it. only request for the immediate future is a way to discard/destroy unwanted/unused items. lots fruit and such starts piling up real fast since it spawns in every time you load your save.
I'll hopefully get to this soon, it's been low on my priorities since players can simply sell them. Though I need to get to it soon because I pay for all that broadband haha.
Great work on the game so far! I love the, uh, "sound design" and the "character creation"
However, I'm running into large performance issues in multiplayer sessions, and I'd really love some optimization options. Maybe a slider to determine at what distance the jigglebones stop animating - those seem to be the main framerate killer.
Yeah that's a good idea, and yeah you're right that jiggle bones are a pretty big performance hog. They're designed to be accurate over performant. I'll look into optimization! I already need to cull objects due to how much networking props take!
So I'm running into a strange bug where during a long play session, my interactables will stop working, i.e: the trough will stop collecting milk, cum, buckets won't fill with juiced fruits, stuff like the Shift+click options won't work. If I load up an older save it works fine, but the current save is seems doomed, even if I quit and reload it. Anyone else run into this?
I'm having trouble with the Make Some Milk-Based foods. I figured out how to get milk, but how do I mix them? Simply having a bucket with different things isn't working
there is an upgrade on the upgrade shop that gives you a table (its the first one of the 4 star line) . you buy it, put a kobold with boobs on it, put yourself or another kobold to milk it, and voila, milk will come out
I think I found a problem. Every time I load a save, new fruits spawn, but previous fruits doesn't despawn and my computer dying because of this. Is this supposed to work like this?
Hey I've been noticing a similar thing. There were lots of fruits on the ground when I booted up a save and I ended up having to juice them. At the entrance to the cave where all the fruits grow on the trees I'll just fling them towards the farm and when I get a moment I juice them.
Is there any way to do it faster? Any commands that can delete fruits? Because not only fruits keep spawning but also mushrooms in the cave and it's took so long to bring the to the Farm
No sorry. I'm starting to have way too many fruits myself, and I'm trying to breed a kobold with enough strength to grip clumps of fruits to grind but it's a process. There's actually a little part of the cave wall near the fruit trees that spawns a mushroom so you don't have to go inside! Hope that helps.
Yeah, I've been having no luck with dealing with the fruits in one of my saves. I waited too late to start grinding them and trying to grind 3+ fruits at a time has a tendency to break the reagent scanners and blenders. I think there's nothing to be done but to wait for the dev to add a fix like making fruits despawn if not picked up by a certain amount of in-game time.
Hello there! I really love this game, it is really fun to play and get different kobolds and such. I would definetly like it if we could modify other aspects of the kobolds, since we can fatten them up, now im curious for some shredded or beefy kobolds to match, and other physical features to add (eg. horns mouths and tails) would also be really fun to see implemented!
I bought this game off steam a couple weeks ago and I unexpectedly loved it and became obsessed, then showed it to some friends who now can't put it down as well. Really looking forward to full release and the save bugs being fixed. Do you plan to add a recipe book that will explain what items give what effects as you use them for the first time in game? Maybe unlockable recipes as you figure them out?
is there something wrong with the wiki cause everytime i try to check it it just says theres a problem with the site and i just get to stare at a white screen
1) Make the grab trait only work on objects, or have a command to toggle it on and off. It's really frustrating to try to separate things in the current implementation.
2) Peen type selection at start. Maybe not all the options, but at least tapered and normal. Or add achievements that unlock starting character options.
3) An auto-pump for the inflater so I don't have to manually body the button every time. Maybe as a purchaseable upgrade?
Edit: questions: any plans for the barn out back? and do the oven and refrigerator have any functionality besides mucking about with the doors?
I mean, my method for handling Q:1 is to have a dedicated 'strongman' which i mind swap with when I need to move lots of stuff, while I keep my personal kobold at strength 1. I'm sure eventually something will be implemented but for the moment this works for me
Is the "perfect kobold" mission currently impossible or is there an actual way to complete it? It's the least clearly written mission out of the bunch.
Also, had a kobold lay an absolutely massive egg (150+ units) and it clipped through the floor and is now stuck under the barn. Probably should have had that one outside lmao.
The perfect kobold mission expects you to have a kobold with at least 4 generations of modifications. (Fill the metabolization bar, breed, repeat 4 times).
And sorry, yeah really large eggs can clip, to prevent it: as soon as the egg spawns you can pick the kobold up off the station and they'll continue laying the egg while doing whatever (throw them really high?).
Got it to work after a bit, but now i'm softlocked from progressing further because I bought the thing i needed to buy for the "Laying Pipe" mission too early. It requires 26 stars but I had that many while working on the perfect kobold, so I bought the item not realizing it was needed for a mission and now i think it's just stuck because i didn't buy it during the mission :(
Honestly never considered myself to be into scale-y kobolds. Anyways, I wanted to support the game since I see that the dev(s) has taken a step on giving it a shot with their project and it seems super promising. And the dev(s) seem very open to new ideas and feedback, and responsive! I hope to see a lot of innovative ideas to a game, and I'm excited. Even without the complete aspect of sex, it's a fun game.
I hope you get a chance to add more reagents! New reagents that allow for size loss of certain attributes should definitely be a thing! Also consider splitting the eggplant reagent into two specialized versions, E.G.: one for dick size and one for dick length. Finally, please let us choose the starting dick! That would be a big shift in the breeding process.
I have been having fun playing this and experimenting!
They are cosmetic now, mechanically they have been replaced with a grab strength gene. It can be increased by eating meat (or burger), and is genetically passed down like other genes.
I agree with others that the game needs a tutorial, but I don't agree there isn't a game here.
I received it as a gift two days ago and haven't really wanted to play much of anything else since. There is plenty to do with just feature rarity on Kobolds as it is right now.
All the way through is a great touch and was excited to see it!
I'd focus on adding more content and things to do, before a tutorial. However, I do recommend some kind of in-game tutorial "book"*on how to progress (I had no idea what to do with the "big egg laying" quest until my friend told me, I thought it had to do it making them fat)
What's with the wheat symbols on the ground in town?
* To explain better, I mean a brief note on each mission in a text format either in or out of game
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoy the game. The wheat symbols in the city are unfortunately just decoration.
I do want to include more hints centered around teaching core mechanics. Recipe books, cave drawings, and cutting some pointless empty space in the map I think will focus the game a little better.
Quite honestly, I gave it a shot, and... I was deceived. I don't really understand the super positive reviews... The gameplay is so messy, nothing is explained and it made it very confusing, this game urgently needs tutorials. And all you gotta do to get money is putting eggs in the dirt and wait 2 minutes with a bit of water... 2/10 kinda gameplay at best. And don't get me started on the badly optimised stuff : The Depht of Fields makes everything close blurry (it's a mess in 1st person), and there's constant model clipping during mating. You can't un-grip once you've locked your grip, sometimes kobolds gets stuck in their position after mating, too, forcing you to drag their limbs hard enough to unstuck them.... The food system to me is a complete mystery, I have no idea how it works, if it even works, what it does, etc etc. In conclusion, this game's fun for half an hour, the time for you to get your deeds done *wink wink*, but, I can't even call such gameplay a game. At best it's a hyper and breed kink playground.
I mean I can definitely see there was efforts put into this game, the artistic direction is nice, the artworks great, and the physics aren't too bad. But this ain't it yet. This has to have a better proposition and better stability in the future to be remotely interesting aside from what is currently medium quality sex physics.
Yeah sorry, the game has some really rough onboarding. I was hoping that multiplayer would make up for it because I have no idea how to game design!
Don't enable depth of field, locking your grip can be undone by holding Q, or by tapping Q while looking at what you want to unlock, the food system is fairly complex as you need to mix the ingredients in buckets to get a visual effect (buy the scanner to help read what reagents are and what effect there is from mixing.)
Yeah, I gave it a few hours with a friend. We did have a better time in multiplayer and this was definitely a good addition. Though I still mean most of what I said, I think most of the gameplay problems would be incredibly eased with a comprehensive tutorial. Mostly thinking of a food tutorial as it is basically impossible to figure out without a guide. I hope the best of luck for this project though. And sorry if I sounded rude or pretentious on some points. I could think of other extensive comments and ideas, but I don't believe this is the proper place for such walls of texts.
Sorry, I'm just a bit averse to giving away such information to payment processers lol. Anyways, GOG is another place that the game could be released. That's also DRM free. Though the EU law might still apply depending on who/where the money for the game is being paid to.
I'm sorry, I'm cross-compiling the game for Macs via Mono. Apparently this version of KoboldKare does not work on "modern" macs. As they've purposefully made old apps obsolete. I'm investigating what I can do to fix this, but currently I have no reasonable things I could do to make it work.
Edit: I found the bug and it should be fixed now! Mac builds should work on both M1 macs, and regular x64 Macs.
Okay I've found the issue and the mac version should work again! Let me know if you have other issues. I got confirmation from another M1 Mac user that it seems to work okay.
You need to feed kobolds to their maximum weight, and sell them. One easy (still long but, hey) way to do so is by feeding them with milk or ice creams, as milk can be easily farmed. Keep in mind that using a kobold for any activities (breeding, laying eggs...) consumes calories.
Hi, thanks for making the game! The fandom salutes you :3 Haven’t played yet, but I noticed in the Linux build at least, there’s a folder called “KoboldKare_BurstDebugInformation_DoNotShip”, which I’m guessing isn’t intended.
Oh nice find, yeah whoops. It's no worries, the game is already open-source so having debug info isn't a big deal. I have NO idea why Unity thought it was a good idea to just append folders that shouldn't end up in the build as "DoNotShip", rather than just-- not including them in the build lmao.
I have something that I think might be a bug? While holding something, you’re intended to be able to use the scroll wheel to move it closer and farther, right? That doesn’t work for me, and same for the crouch-height scroll wheel adjustment.
On Linux, Kubuntu 22.04, nothing special about my mouse or scroll wheel settings.
Might be related, but I noticed that the scroll wheel also goes the wrong way (very slowly), in things like the resolution selector and the savefile selector.
Yeah this is a known Unity issue. I'm not sure what I need to do to address it. I'm using the new fangled Input System-- and on Linux it doesn't read mousewheel inputs the same way it does on other platforms. I'll make an issue on git so I can keep track of it and hopefully I'll come up with a solution that doesn't involve writing linux-specific code.
Thanks for putting this on Steam.
I think there’s a problem though, On clicking the play button, the menu disappears and after a few seconds my GPU driver crashes. Is your game compatible with AMD cards? (RX 6600 from MSI, BTW)
Do I need a 4090 to make this thing work?
Turning everything down, I can actually play, but at about 5 FPS, and touching either slider causes a GPU driver time out.
Attempted OpenGL, and it just gives me an “InitilizeEngineGraphics failed” error.
The green bubbles are metabolism as ypu eat different foods ect it will fill up causing growths for different parts (Such a melons enlarging your chest ect.)
Given that it's kinda the focus a lot. Sadly the size cap is back in place but you can still get the kobolds pretty big. I will say that I have not been able to confirm if there is a limit to how big a belly can get from cumflation, as I got a max size kobold with a cum belly 3 or 4 times their size. It slowed down at some point but never stopped as far as I could tell.
To feed and fatten them, make milkshake by grinding ice from the store and mixing it with milk, which you can get from milking the kobolds. You can make the milkshake more effective by adding banana too!

Any time I pour a bucket into the blender, my bucket disappears? Is this a bug?
well it seams like: "you successfully blended a bucket"
I was only given one fruit for the 2 fruit quest at the start?
there's an area with trees to the west, fruit grows there
or you can buy them, where you can buy eggs to
Bought this on steam and absolutely love it. only request for the immediate future is a way to discard/destroy unwanted/unused items. lots fruit and such starts piling up real fast since it spawns in every time you load your save.

Is an "overflowing" feature planned?
Like if I pump a kobold full of cum and it reaches the maximum capacity, the cum will flow out of the mouth or nose.
I think it would fit in the game :)
I second this please
I bought this game off steam a couple weeks ago and I unexpectedly loved it and became obsessed, then showed it to some friends who now can't put it down as well. I feel the same. I refunded it and bought it here instead. Your friends can't put it down either? How fun
is there something wrong with the wiki cause everytime i try to check it it just says theres a problem with the site and i just get to stare at a white screen
Not just you either
Three requests:
1) Make the grab trait only work on objects, or have a command to toggle it on and off. It's really frustrating to try to separate things in the current implementation.

press enter
/cheats
/skip
/cheats
Omg I restarted when that happened to me didn't know there was a command for skipping quests lol
It is *technically* cheating, but I doubt anyone would judge you for using it to skip a broken quest. ;p
Is there a possibility that you would add urination to the game? Would be fun. :)
Not planned, however I do plan for modding which could easily add it.

Yeah sure! You can contact me on discord at naelstrof#7705
Heya. I bought the game here on Itch.... how do i get the steam key now ":D ? thanks for the answers!!!
There should be a button found on your itch purchase page, see this link for more info: https://itch.io/t/67604/how-to-get-a-steam-key-from-your-itchio-purchase
Ahh!! thank you it worked !!!
Is there a way to buy the game without having to dox myself to the EU?
I'm not sure! KoboldKare is only available on itch.io and Steam. Is there a platform you'd like to see KoboldKare on?
Sorry, I'm just a bit averse to giving away such information to payment processers lol. Anyways, GOG is another place that the game could be released. That's also DRM free. Though the EU law might still apply depending on who/where the money for the game is being paid to.
Yeah this is also happening on my mac. On windows it works completely fine
I'm sorry, I'm cross-compiling the game for Macs via Mono. Apparently this version of KoboldKare does not work on "modern" macs. As they've purposefully made old apps obsolete. How to complete "Tummy time!" quest

great game, will probable be binge playing it for months, but im lost, how do you do the 14th quest?, i feel like ive tried it all :)
Anyone know how to get over 200 meters for the quest?
I see lol thank you
this is a great silly game, I enjoy the physics, decided to take a chance after I saw it on steam. I lol'd after watching my kobold grow
Hi, thanks for making the game! The fandom salutes you :3 Haven’t played yet, but I noticed in the Linux build at least, there’s a folder called “KoboldKare_BurstDebugInformation_DoNotShip”, which I’m guessing isn’t intended.

try holding shift then hold the object
I'd add that it happened to a friend of mine... On Windows, with the exact same build version as mine which worked perfectly fine on my side.
Unfortunately, holding Shift doesn’t help. I tried Shift before, Shift after picking up, nothing happens
How do I use the body swapper. I purchased it and can't find it
Not sure if you found it, but it's on the hill to the right of the barn with all of the cooking related stuff in it.
Thanks for putting this on Steam. I think there’s a problem though, On clicking the play button, the menu disappears and after a few seconds my GPU driver crashes. Is your game compatible with AMD cards? (RX 6600 from MSI, BTW) Do I need a 4090 to make this thing work? Turning everything down, I can actually play, but at about 5 FPS, and touching either slider causes a GPU driver time out. Attempted OpenGL, and it just gives me an “InitilizeEngineGraphics failed” error.
ok, so how do i stop picking up multiple items/kobolds at once time, i cant figure out how
Simple question.. does anyone knows if the multiplayer save is working now ?
Fish meat is considered a fruit to get the third star.
Would recommend!
I know it can sound a bit beggy, but do you ever have plans on a demo? Just a little 10-20 minute tour of the mechanics and environment?
The game looks interesting from the pictures, but it would be nice to see the game's general feel before buying it, you know?
Is there a muscle option for the kobolds
What's the third bar? The one with green bubbles on the left. I think they're the traits you pass down to your eggs? Is there a way to reduce it?
The green bubbles are metabolism as ypu eat different foods ect it will fill up causing growths for different parts (Such a melons enlarging your chest ect.)
How much inflation/growth/hyper/pregnancy/weight gain stuff is there?
Given that it's kinda the focus a lot. Sadly the size cap is back in place but you can still get the kobolds pretty big. I will say that I have not been able to confirm if there is a limit to how big a belly can get from cumflation, as I got a max size kobold with a cum belly 3 or 4 times their size. It slowed down at some point but never stopped as far as I could tell.
Thanks. There's little evidence of it in the description or tags here, so I was concerned it would be lacking.
hopefully it's not too late or impossible to have an option to turn the size cap off. but who knows at this point
How should I feed them and make them fat? And is it normal to have no nights in my game?
Night was removed in a previous patch.
To feed and fatten them, make milkshake by grinding ice from the store and mixing it with milk, which you can get from milking the kobolds.
You can make the milkshake more effective by adding banana too!
It actually almost doubles the calorie intake with MilkShakes being at .3 and BananaSplits at .5 so definitely worth the trouble.
Is there currently a way to obtain bananas apart from /give? I can't find them in the store or on the fruit hill
Edit: actually I found them on the fruit hill! still don't see them in the shop...
my idea for the kobold editor but in better design over my spam ^_^
